The Rolls Royce of Thimbles!
"I have used this thimble for hours before leaving a review. The best addition to my sewing box! Everything is cleverly thought through: a very good weight, design and a perfect fit. Leaves no marks. Any professional tailor should have one. Worth the investment.” – Genevieve
Professional and High Quality Tool
"After a few weeks of using Atlas I can say: It's head and shoulders above my old thimbles. I can lock the needle better because its dents are bigger and deeper. It fits nicely and sticks firmly to my finger. When I put on Atlas, I have a conviction that I'm using a proper tool and I can sew with concentration and confidence” – RafaÅ‚
Cheap thimbles with shallow dimples. They crush easily, stain your finger and offer poor needle grip. The rough interiors are uncomfortable when used for long hours.
Doesn't Stain Your Fingertip
Cheap thimbles rust and leave a brown stain on your fingertip.

The so-called "better" ones are lined with brass. However, brass also oxidises. It turns your finger green.

Made of sterling silver, Atlas allows you to enjoy long hours of sewing without staining your finger or causing allergic reactions.
The aesthetic design of Atlas is partially inspired by the architecture of large cathedrals, mandala patterns and the tree of life.
Feels Comfortable on Your Finger
The upper part of Atlas cups your fingertip. It feels soft and doesn't slide down during high performance work.

Cheap thimbles feel rough on the inside. This is because the dimples are punched on the outer surface and can be felt on the inside.
Atlas feels smooth. Its interior is polished to provide a firm grip on your finger.
Several sketches from the initial design process of Atlas with the final design in the middle.
Improves Your Sewing Technique
The dimples are arranged inside eight separate windows.
This unique arrangement encourages the correct frontal use of your finger and eliminates bad sewing habits.

Never push the needle with the side of your finger! You will be working against your natural joint movement.
Many 3D prints were made to test the functionality and comfort of Atlas.
Maximum Needle Grip
The dimples on Atlas are rhombus shaped and 0.8mm deep.

Cheeper thimbles have round dimples that are only 0.5mm deep. This results in poor needle grip and the development of bad sewing habits.

Atlas provides maximum needle grip. The needle hooks well into the dimples and allows you to sew at shallow angles with minimal needle slippage.
Handmade in England
Atlas is not mass produced in a factory. It is handmade in limited batches by one artisan.

Quality control is strict. Atlas goes through 3 independent inspections:
First by the artisan jeweller, then by International School of Tailoring and last but not least by the Goldsmiths' Company Essay Office in London.
A Heritage Piece
Atlas is cast in 925 sterling silver. Each thimble is individually inspected and hallmarked at the Goldsmiths' Company Assay Office in London to guarantee all legal standards of silver purity.
This makes you part of a historical chain of excellent craftsmanship standards.
