Course Notes & Exercises

You might think that the best way to master tailoring is through an apprenticeship or by creating numerous garments. While these approaches are valid, they're not always as effective as they seem.

Every activity is based on micro-actions. True expertise comes from mastering each component individually first and then executing them all in harmony.

As a child, you didn't learn to write by composing long paragraphs; you first had to learn the shape of each letter. And even before that, you had to learn to hold a pencil. Tailoring is the same. You must learn the micro actions of each technique.

If you want efficient learning, Practice each step through focused exercises. To help you with this, we have included free downloads of exercises and notes as covered in our lessons. Boost your understanding and intuition for each technique. All large-scale patterns can be printed at home using a desktop printer.
