American couturier designer, author and teacher Kenneth D King made this tab welt pocket. I'm obsessed with welt pockets. I'm hoping someone can tell me how it's made. I'm wondering if it's simpler than it looks - just a faux welt pocket??

Update: I've followed Reza's instructions on multiple types of scrap fabric. I varied using interfacing or not, cutting on the bias or not, etc. Sorry for my poor example of using very lightweight black wool. I've been in touch with Kenneth D King. He said his instructions will be published in the Fall 2023 issue of Threads Magazine. He said it's really the same method of making one pocket bag and sewing everything together. (I've noticed there are a variety of instructions re cutting a single pocket bag or two separate pieces. Plus one instruction said to stop sewing the pocket linings 1/8" shorter than each edge of the welt. )
This is extremely simple to make.
It's a welt pocket + extension tab all in one piece.
Extension tab is machined first and turned inside out, then the welt is sewn and finished in place up to the extension tab.
I will do a diagram this week.
