When a tailor has an order to make several identical suits for the same customer, and all the fabric has been cut, would you assemble one suit at a time or work on all three at the same time?
If you're read my previous post, you know I'm applying the tailoring skills I've learned here to "dress" several boat seats with slip-on covers. I finally completed the pattern, assembling one cover in the process, but I have three more seats to do. The pieces for the three seats are cut out, so I'm Dow to the actual assembly. I realize boat seat covers aren't exactly something that would be "tailored" but how would you recommend assembling them?
I was thinking I'd do all three at the same time.
Hello Bill!
The work is looking great! You are indeed a meticulous man!
If the entire construction is already worked out and contains no faults, I would make all at the same time.
However, if you are still figuring out what the best construction would be, I recommend 1 at a time to prevent repeated mistakes.
